In contrast to most chambers of commerce, we are not bound by geographical limits and appear to be the only chartered Chamber of Commerce for Individuals with DisAbilities in existence.

Incorporated 11/08/1996, CCID has maintained an Internet presence since 12/24/1997 and received a 501(C)3 tax-exempt status in 01/17/2001.

CCID does not charge Membership fees to our disabled, disadvantaged or unemployed members and can issue receipts that are fully tax-deductible.

Instead of hiring an expensive in-house staff, CCID prefers to pay Members a Stipend for Volunteer performed on behalf of the Volunteer organization.

This unique approach seeks to motivate Member interest, follow-through, extend the time a Volunteer will work for CCID, and enable Members to have their own small home-based business.

In so doing, CCID hopes to become the only chamber of commerce that actually PAYS its Members a stipend instead of requiring membership fees.
